I dont really see how or why we would want to blame fellow pilots for the greed of management.:( Please tell me why so many senior people trash guys who share the same dream and career goals that they have themselves. It is not the fault of the less senior guy or the pilot paying his dues flying for an airline you would not allow to transport your dog, that management is shaving the pay and QOL from not just your pocket but that RJ pilots pocket as well.

lol.. did you become a pilot to do something you love and strive to be the best pilot possible, or did you take the job to work for tips? I know you're kidding, but nobody (most people atleast) strives to be a server, or takes the job because they want to be a career server. Ofcourse there are exceptions, like if you work in a super high class restaurant making $700/night. did you tip your school bus driver, or maybe the greyhound bus driver? like was stated before, you tip when it becomes personal. ie, taxi driver, charter flight with only a couple passengers. no, you don't have to have a greaser everytime, but if you never have them, you will end up scaring your co-workers.. like I said, I know you're kidding, I just wanted in on the discussion. :)

For the tips....nobody ever told me that we don't get tips at regionals... so I am holding out for the majors now. I think they get tips--someone correct me if I am wrong.

What if I stand in the door and say hi to people when they get on, and then stand there and say bye to them when they get off? That's pretty personal...and if I throw in the occasional "how are you today" there is no question that is personal!


I never have them, which is what will make it so special....and when that day comes---I expect a tip!
