Damn what a small world. Yeah that was me, but it was like the last day of June first of July, something like that. LOL

Yeah got tired of the BS so put the resume out there and it landed me at Shuttle.

I was class of 95 at Shawnee..

Where are you based? How are the lines? How many days are the trips? I'm stoked to be flying the 170.

Well since you know who I am, and you didn't wear a APF name tag around here.. Refresh my memory...

based in IND (the main reason for leaving TSA). the lines aren't too bad, but i'm still in the bottom 3rd of the list. as IND is not a hub, almost all the trips i get start well before sunrise (even in september) and return home late. the vast majority of the trips are 4days, but there are a share of 2 and 3-day trips. forget about day trips till you're near upgrade.

you'll enjoy the 170. it will make you a very lazy pilot. all the stuff you wish was automated on the 145 is automated, and the autopilot's not as dumb as the 145 (the Embraer clearing turns aren't near as bad).

also, training will feel like a joke compared to TSA's. there is very little stress, and the instructors are very helpful.

that and there's donuts in the morning.

Hulas doesn't care as long as the bottom line of the balance sheet is black, and he doesn't lose any contracts with his code shares.

So I'm torn, do I want IND and drive up, or should I take ORD, or ATL and commute. I want what ever will give the least reserve.. What are your thoughts on that? I hear where ever you go there will be very little if no reserve because of the 28 airplanes coming on line in '08..

ORD had 57 lines in DEC, bottom 13 had reserve, and the lowest hire date with a line was 5/06

ATL had 49 lines, no reserves, 2 with composite lines. lowest hire date is 8/07

IND had 67 lines, 6 reserve. lowest hire date with a line was 7/07 (someone junior to me in my class. someof us have lines, others are still reserve)

CMH had 35 lines, bottom 13 had reserve. lowest hire date with a line was 8/06

i suggest either ATL & IND as first and second (either order) and columbus as last. the IND airport is about 1:45 drive from SDF, and there are 8 nonstop flights from SDF to ATL each day.

hope that helps some

Yeah I think that helps greatly. I'm thinking your suggestion is right on the money. Thanks for the help. I'll see you on the line...

Another waterskier here I'm also in the Jan 9th Shuttle class so I'll see you there. I'm looking to get ATL as soon as I can hold it. Let's here it for lateral moves!
