Mesaba Street CA or FO?
#41
Well if I get hired the idea will be not to be an FO long enough to matter wether or not I get a line. From what's been said here I should be able to get into a captain class in 2-4 months without too much trouble. Like you said Mesaba reserve will be a big improvement in QOL for me, so if I have to spend a couple years on reserve that won't kill me. Thanks.

I got a rejection notice emailed to me! I figured I'd at least get to the interview by applying for co-pilot. I don't understand this. I met and exceed the qualifications for Co-pilot, by far. Could it be because I don't have my ATP written done or a current first class medical?

Well that's the plan now. Actually I've been studying for the ATP anyway, but I figured if they decided to hire me that I'd go get my first class, since I don't need it to fly freight, and my 2nd class medical isn't due til July. But I guess I'll just get it anyway. I didn't think they wouldn't even consider you if you didn't have those two. The only other thing I can think of is I don't have my bachelors degree either, but I didn't think that the regionals cared much about that. Other than that I have a clean record and more than competitive time. Any other sugestions?

Actually the app didn't even ask for specific hours, it just gave me some options to chose from, which I was the xxx amount+ on all of them since I applied for the FO position. I did attach my resume though, which had my hours on it, and they all add up the way they should. I'll get that ATP written hammered out, get my first class physical and go from there. Do these on-line apps get kicked automatically say if you didn't have your first class, or does a real person look at them? It just kinda blew my mind that someone with 600hrs might be considered to have better credentials to fit their needs that someone with 3,600hrs.
