I do work at rw and I agree with what these guys are saying I'd try here or skywest before comair simply because of how much I'm hearing their pilots complain right now. We have many guys working here who have made the switch at the 1yr mark and they've all told me that they are much happier now that they did. Hope that this helps

Thank you all very very much for the input. Republic was and has been my first choice.
One more question for you all,,, Although not being a pilot for my current carrier, this year I was able to attend our MD11 type rating school (after much begging!). My company let me go through the course without obtaining the type. The question is: How would an applicant present this as a plus even though the cert was not obtained? Thanks again for the input.

Present it as Advanced Systems & Crew Resource Management (CRM) Training plus Glass Cockpit orientation. Add to it you’re A&P and willingness to go above and beyond, that will make you a shoe in.

Best of Luck.

heck, there was a guy in my class that had been with Comair 2 1/2 months. he'd just come online there when he bailed for S5.

if a guy that's barely seen any line flying bails, you know it's not a good thing

Well he has very little invested, so it is easy for him to make the jump. He was here for a whole 2 1/2 months, he wasn't here long enough to know what it is like to work here.
