Yeah, cause we gave em the 69 planes just as fast as we could............, If thats the truth as to why the SKW deal fell apart then good on your management for not taking the flying..........
PS. You don't see who in the White, Blue and Gold anytime soom <------- lost me on that comment???????? |
900's going to LAX for Mexico flying on the Delta side does make sense. I say that because United released that exclusivity clause in our contract.
As far as CAL goes, from reading this thread I have gained that the initial flying CHQ was awarded is only a two-year contract? And that is how long they have chosen to lease the 200's for, right? So the CAL deal may have some truth to it. Plus, didn't your guy over at CHQ say that they want an all EMB 170/175 fleet? Someone posted on our SkyWest forums flying the 1000's for Virgin America. So there is one you haven't heard yet. Also, management is apparently wanting to complete some additions to our policy manual by January 1st. I assume they are in a rush to get a solid idea for cost structure over the next few years. One of the additions is a new payscale. I don't know why they would be in such a rush if something weren't in the mix. Also, if an announcement is made, I understand it won't be until 2008. And I expect no new flying until 2009. Just my guess. |

The 4th airline rumor for now is over. Yes it was Southwest, however, for a few reasons it wont happien. Also, there is no other flying that SKW is in the works for. We will take another 8 200's for midwest. SKW is waiting for a new VP to be named untill the word goes out. Do to the fact the Southwest thing wont happien as soon as thought( or happien at all) SKW will run a new hire class of 20 every 3 weeks. Upgrades to the RJ will slow as well. Look for upgrades to be around the 2.5 year range. SKW wanted 600 new hires for 08, now there talking 350ish. As for a MCI base not yet, however, it's not been ruled out.
This is true from what I hear from people in the know at work yesterday. The SouthWest thing was a go but is on hold for now if it will happen at all. This was something that changed in the past week or so. As for the training department we are still expecting big numbers for the year. |

I am very anxious to see if this halts our progress on our pay raise. For those of you who don't know, management wants us to have a raise by January 1st. No one knows why the rush, but the rumors of something big happening was the reason everyone figured.

The contract was for TWO years, not ten. The Frontier deal was for 10.
20 ERJ's were placed under a ten year CPA. 24 CRJ's were placed under a short term agreement. The FRNT deal is 11 years from the last date of delivery (for RJET). Seriously people. Dont talk unless you know what the hell you're talking about. |
