Commuting at Colgan?
#3
Ditto! I am on the fence as to whether or not I want to apply there. The whole commuting thing seems like it might be a little trickier with some of their bases. Which are most junior? Also, like Alex was saying, they require 600 and 100, but will that get you an interview?

Hey,
Here is a great web site for accessing Colgans crew scheduling and actual bid sheets that Colgan pilots fly. go to www.colganair.com/fly/info1.html
If you can't access it through this link go to google and type in Colgan air crew website. Good Luck.

Wow, I also thought that would be password protected. I don't know about commuting with Colgan, I have heard that it's alot harder to commute at a regional airline because there are less flights. I plan to be with Colgan by Spring of 2007. The only thing that I'm not sure about is when I'm young and single wouldn't I want to fly with an airline that has overnights?

Colgan, in the northeast, have full USAirways flight benefits. You will be eligible by the time you get out of the sim. On the website listed above, go to information, conf call minutes. At the bottom is a list of people we have jumpseat agreements with. We are not CASS so don't count on getting in the cockpit of anyone that is not in the airways system. Commuting is easy at colgan. I commute from FL and all the Beech guys in ALB commute, bar one. The other bases may be harder though. If you can, try to get one of the EAS bases as there is always room on the flights and they "usually" go, no matter what. Welcome aboard. Another one beween me and furlough.

What kind of time or experience does Colgan like when they hire? Do they even look at applications that don't meet the minimum time requirements? I know their posted times are 900TT/100ME. Im sitting at 850TT/120ME, is it worth throwing an application their way now or should I wait till I break 900? Any thoughts from the peanut gallery? Any one on the inside at Colgan would be nice to hear from too.

I have 700 Total & 135 Multi. I filled out the online app & sent a resume to Cathy Angelo about a week ago. have not heard anyhting yet.
I say send it. Doesn't hurt and they will know that you are interested.
It seems as the though they have not had any interviews since the New Year.
