I'm very impressed that folks at SKW in their first year can credit over 1000 hours EXCLUDING 6-8 weeks of training pay, even if it is under the most ideal possible circumstances. Proof positive that there is more to compensation than just hourly rates...

I'm a big fan of Louisville and I always look forward to visiting. |
I would guess that most newhires as of right now could probably expect quite a bit of time on reserve, just judging by the fact that it has been about a month and a half since the last newhire class started (most junior hire had a class date of 11-19-2007), which is quite a contrast to how it used to be a new hire class every two weeks. While the hiring machine has traditionally slowed down around the holidays, all the signs are pointing in the direction of very minimal growth and attrition, at least for a while. The most current upgrade class on the CRJ has also been cancelled. So, I would predict a slowing in the hiring, and upgrade times to increase significantly from what they were 6 months ago. But as we all know, things can change very quickly, so let us see if the new years brings us any major announcements.

Thank's for the info. I'm not coming from MESA, I'm coming from (Skyway, d.b.a. Midwest Connect). One more question what is the most junior hire date for ORD, MKE.. thanks guys

You won't have any problem getting into MKE/ORD...two months out of training you'll be there - if not originally awarded one of the two.

I thought someone else posted a training plan showing around 20 new-hires every 3 weeks for the CRJ, and around 10-12 every 3 weeks for the Bro. Have things changed much in the last week or two at SKW?

Thats still the case. They need to hire 200 more f/os to be have the staffing they want for the current flying. Keep in mind that in 08 we already know we are getting 4 more new delta 900s and 8 midwest planes for a total of 8 growth airplanes. So thats why they still are running CRJ upgrade/newhire classes.
