Default SkyWest Training and Pay?

Does SkyWest pay new hires during training? I head two conflicting reports today.

When do the health, dental, ect benefits kick in?

Training guarantee is 60 hours. Current 1st year rate is $19.25 but it is going up to around $24 very soon. Double occupancy hotel provided. I had my own room during the sim portion, but I'm not sure if that's the norm. The uniform is provided for you, except for the leather jacket or blazer/hat which you must pay for. You also purchase your own Jepp binders. Health insurance kicks in after 90 days. Sick time starts accruing after 90 days, Vacation after 6 months. Employee Stock Purchase is available after 90 days. 2% 401K match, performance bonuses, and uniform allowances after one year of service. Profit bonuses after two years. A cute puppy after three.

Ooh, how come I didn't hear about the cute puppy?

Now I know I made the right decision.

Yeah, but management has been slacking. The puppies look rather ordinary recently.

this is the same guy who keeps posting these bizarre negative posts about skywest. he's fascinated with our company for some reason. i guess we turned him down in the interview or something? that's what some people are saying. i'm not sure how i'd feel in that situation, but i certainly wouldn't be acting out in such a public manner. i'd move on, personally. but hey, we're all different.

next meritflyer post topic: are all skywest pilots really homosexuals?

next one after that: does skywest really demand your first born child as payment for a training contract if you leave within 3 years of hire?

next one after that: true or false: skywest management secretly sets up crj cockpits to irradiate pilots' genitals, inducing forced sterilization.

Don't forget about the music they make us lesson to that has subliminal messages. I've been able to decipher the following from some of the songs:

1. Jerry is GOD
2. Jerry is Allah
3. Jerry is Buddha
4. Don't ask what SKW can do for you but what you can do for SKW
5. DRINK MORE KOOL-AID! If you need more call "crew support!"

LOL!
