You don't need to ask here what he should do. When he gets there the union will tell him what to do. He's on probation the union will do their best to protect him by telling him to just fly and stay out of trouble. When the union strikes they'll tell him what to do and he better do what they say.

ASA was going to strike, but what did we do? Voted the contract in by a large margin. Pinnacle will be a similar bitter/sweet story.

You could go work at a non union carrier like SKYWEST.

It's always possible to have bad luck and fail a jeopardy event. It's true that Pinnacle ground school leaves much to be desired. However there are many worse 121 training departments out there. The bottom line is that barring some bad luck, if you study hard and know your *******, chances are you will be fine. 99% of it is on you... Your "friend" may have learned alot from washing out that will help him in upgrade...

On a separate note, how did we get from talking about SCABBING being career suicide to talking about washing out of training? I don't see the correlation...

I DON'T THINK SO.

I don't think that anybody - including PNCL management - understands how p*ssed we are. 99.39%... I'd rather lose my job and see this place burn to the ground than accept a sub par contract.

My MEC speaks for me.

no the atl vacancies are being filled but a mix of really senior guys and really junior guys are getting it. and yes if i were to look at it from a junior/senior stand point i would put it like this

mem- most senior for both capt and fo's
msp- medium senior for both capt and fo's
atl- medium to low senior for both capt and fo's
dtw low for capt and fo's

I am sure ATL will eventually go senior. There are just to many variables/unknowns there now. There are alot of guys who dont want to bid there until they know what the pay rate will be for the -900. There are others who are waiting to see how the lines look as more airplanes are added. There are also those who want to go, but want pleanty of people below them to bid there first.

Once the 15 -200s finish transferring to XJ, do you think MSP will start going super-senior for FOs? (I have a February class date).
