I do know the history of the summer 06
That is exact reason I think there might be something more than wishful thinking.
I may be wrong, and I will eat my words when I am, but for now, in my small little mind, I am going to believe that they just might have learned their lesson.
Time will tell.

heard a rumor about the "ramping up" but, i'll believe it when i call gear up in it....As far as them adding pilots because something is signed, you obviously don't know the history, as they added tons and tons of pilots in early 06' only to furlough them in summer 06' when the contract that they thought was signed by TSA, turned out to be signed by another airline....They need to invest in glasses to read the handwriting.

It's not for growth. They told us that they've been steadily losing about 20 per month and can't replace them because people aren't showing up for class. Right now it doesn't seem like reserve will be long also summer is coming, they told us a month or two if any.

20 captains per month? I don't think the FO attrition is what is used to be last summer... and if we're losing that many captains a month why do we only upgrade 8/month?
I guess "they" are trying the shotgun approach and see how many of the 40+ show up to class?

heard there were close to 20 resignations this month for Captains, also heard as little as 13, maybe by the end of next month i'll have an idea as to how many have left by how many spots i move up....As of this month, that number isn't much more than two.

Im sure however that management have learned from prior mistakes that it is more expensive to train new pilots than keep them on the payroll sitting on reserve. But then again... I could be bias... I am currently in the Jan. ground class.
