DFW Reserve

To echo a previous post, does anyone know roughly how many hours per month the DFW EMB Reserve guys are getting?

Thanks in advance.

Crash was a temporary nickname given to me for, shall we say, my initial inability to place the F100 on the ground in a horizontal manner. Thankfully landings are not graded...nor should they be! I was a bit more concerned flying the ILS than I was with what altitude I should flare at. 10 feet is apparently not adequate! Works for a 172, but not something that weighs 44 times a 172.

You bet it's for Purdue! Graduated Dec '06. I was just being facetious about the "crash" callsign anyway. Best of luck in the RJ course!

A friend averaged 60-70/month. said others averaged also about the same. Most never broke guarantee.

Im on reserve in ORD, almost broke guarantee in Febuary...i have the next 4 days off and im NOT going to pick up open time. Next month isnt going to be nice to me so ill enjoy my days off. Reserve in ORD is around 4-5 months right now since they just cut a few more lines.

I have heard that AE is short 99+ FO's on the EMB in ORD. Is that accurate?

Whats the reserve time in BOS?

Much appreciated.

How long before a new hire can hold LAX (SF340 and the ERJ)?
How long is reserve at LAX?
Also how many credit hours can one expect as a junior at LAX?

For the March bids the most junior composite line (monthly schedule built mostly flying and a couple reserve days) went to the FO 2nd from the bottom. I think he was off IOE 1 month. I would expect at most 2-3 months on reserve in BOS. As far as ORD FO shortage goes, they are probably more than 99 FOs short. We are completely understaffed throughout the system, so its all relative.

Thanks for the BOS reserve time.

If they're 99+ short in ORD, that must mean there is ZERO reserve time??? What is ORD ERJ reserve time?

Thanks.

I think ORD reserve is alittle longer, maybe 5-6 months. They keep a huge number of pilots on reserve to cover the huge amount of flying they do compared to BOS. One benefit of a smaller base.

You might get the LAX SF3 immediately if you request it. I am not sure if they are still sending newhires to LAX or not, they stopped for a while but who knows. I would recommend going to an interview and asking. If not then you might be able to get DFW SF3 and transfer within 3-4 months. If you got the ERJ it might be longer to transfer into LAX, closer to a year I would estimate. Reserve at LAX would be long on the ERJ (1-2yrs) and shorter on the SF3 (maybe 6 months or less). I wouldnt expect much flying at LAX on reserve unless they send you to DFW to cover flying. Maybe 40hrs a month. These are guesses on the reserve times in LAX, but maybe someone else can pipe in with more accurate times.

I interviewed on February 6th. LAX was closed to interviewees, we could not choose LAX.

I was at the interview with bgmann. One guy requested LAX and one of the interviewing captains laughed at him.

Same story here. LAX closed until they find out if it balances out, or if they find out they need a few more. MIA is open for one more class that starts on the 3rd. So it is essentially closed.

I received a call to schedule for a classdate and the lady mentioned that ALL bases are open to choose from for March 17th class. Hope this is the right move.

Any one based out of LAX live in the San Fran Bay area? How is the trip? Do you need a crash pad in LAX?
