A buddy of mine just got hired by New Mexico Airlines flying Grand Caravans... I've never heard of the airline until today... Any insight on this company?

Flying to several destinations throughout New Mexico, operating with 2 pilots. The pilots check people in, throw bags, everything.

WOW! I fly Corporate in Falcons, and have always done that. I don't know anything about this airline, but if all that sounds like a big deal then NEVER Fly Corporate.

Its not a nightmare because you gotta toss some bags... this company has a HISTORY, do your research.

I did some searches for open flights for this airline. Roundtrip from one side of the state to the other was nearly 375 bucks!! Get a cab, stay away!!!

yes, but there's a huge difference between tossing a couple bags for your 3 pax over tossing bags for a full airplane.

besides, i bet you made a couple bucks more flying the Falcons as opposed to these guys flying a caravan for an airline.

I'm not planning on it (but am open to it). I've flown corporate before, and from my experience, I didn't have to throw bags for 10 people for 5 legs/day. Nor did I ever have to print tickets and tag luggage. I also got paid quite a bit better than these guys are. Perhaps my job was different than yours, though.

Basically, it appears this job has merged what is bad about corporate with what is bad about the airlines.
