I think from another post that he's speculating that colgan/PCL pilot groups will merge per arbitrators decision. Plausable or busted, tune into the next episode of APC "Regional/Junior Varsity" mythbusters!!!!

usmc-sgt 02-06-2008 08:45 AM

WOW...and I mean wow. That would be crazy, and not good crazy but crazy crazy.

dingo222 02-06-2008 08:47 AM

well, it would solve the pilot group unity issues, lol. maybe they could help get some better rates for the q, lol

turbojet28 02-06-2008 09:45 AM

Probably a speculative and "it depends" question, but what happens if they merge the seniority lists? How do they do it, and who flys what? Who would be the winners and the losers? What about new hires, would the companies still be hiring seperately or what?

If the rumors are correct what a huge win for the Pinnacle pilots. It was certainly long overdue.

If it is true the new legislation signed by Bush should be in play, Colgan pilots shouldn't get stapled. Finally the Colgan guys and gals would have a union. This should be a good thing for all, in theory.

How would that be a win for 9E? Not any closer to a contract are we?

dingo222 02-06-2008 12:39 PM

Well, pcl would have 400 more pilots that go on strike if the lists are merged. That means the entire operation stops, not just the pcl side. I don't think our q400's would fly until the pilot group votes in a rate also. Just trying to be upbeat here.......

9E would have now be 420 pilots stronger, more boots on the picket line. Also, it's a win from 9E ALPA to show management they mean business and if they may not always win in arbitration.
