How Long do you wait

Kind of like being in a relationship that isnt going well. If you were a 9E Pilot how long do you wait before you jump ship. I have been with the company for about 7 months and came from another company before that. Coming to 9E might not have been the best decision but hindsight 20/20 right. Just looking for some other peoples thoughts.

all i will say is you dont want to establish a track record of constantly jumping ship. unless you know you are jumping to something that offers ten fold the QOL you have now, i would stay put.

remember the grass is always greener...

well said. Jumping around the regionals looks very bad on a resume, a diffficult to explain.....

You leave a regional for a regional to get turbine experience, or jet experience, but leaving a regional for another just because you don't like it, big no no...like I said, difficult to explain

Until you have 1000 turbine PIC.

Or, to be more accurate, until you have accomplished whatever it is you set out to do when you took the class date with that airline.

Yes that is what I have basically been thinking, I would like to be able to show loyalty on my resume, The current situation has just been forcing me to ask questions and was looking for reassurance

Thanks

I'd sit tight if I were you. Keep your head down till you're off probation, support your fellow pilots, don't do anything stupid like cross a picket line (if it comes to that) and wait for things to shake out. Seven months if halfway to upgrade there, from what it sounds like so you might as well tough it out. It worked out in the long run for Mesaba and I'm willing to bet the turbulence will pass at Pinnacle too. And so what if worse comes to worse and they shut the doors, send y'all packing and turn the airplanes into soda cans? At least it will be easier to explain to a future employer why you left:D

Just think of it like a bad relationship but the girl is smoking hot and a nympho to boot. She might be a pain the a$$ sometimes and yeah, its an emotional roller coaster but you're getting what you need (a paycheck and building time) without the emotional attachment.:D

I know I can live like that for a little over 2 years...you got plenty of time to go...sit tight.
