Only YOU can prevent wing clippings!

ALERT to all Republic(an) and Shuttle America CA's: Only YOU can prevent your left wing from clipping other aircraft's wing's!! You can learn to "steer and clear" at the same time, it just takes practice!

A razzing is in order after the second incident in a week. What is this, a conspiracy against the Airbii? ;)

See video.

great im sure we will be getting some nice memo about all this.

The video makes it look like they were on a holding pad for one of the instances.

My brother was on one of those flights. He sent me a text msg when it happened. He said they wouldn't deplane any passengers because they didn't want the aircraft to shift and make the damage worse. Maybe someone should have just thrown a bucket of water on one of the planes...:D

I'm wondering what the pavement markings were like where the incident occurred. I'm guessing that not everyone had their nosewheel on a stripe...

and everyone calls them guppy killers... they are only going after the airbii

This is sort of odd for Republic. It seems that the E-170 guys are afraid to taxi around another aircraft, even with plenty of room. I have noticed this frequently in CLT even before these incidents. I don't think it is just certain crews, because I see it often. They could have over a hundred yards of room to go around someone, yet they decide to wait. With this over-cautiousness, it seems odd that within a week two Republic aircraft would be involved in this. Kind of ironic.

Or they wait because they get paid by the hour and want to overblock.

looks like they were in the 30 pad. no markings in there except for RJ deicing. so if a bus was parked in there and the 170 Ca used the lines painted for deice operations...

...oops

Been on two Republic flights, both taxied very fast. Dumb.

CLT is an accident waiting to happen. The hardest thing about CLT is the taxiing. Nobody knows where anyone is going and inbound ramp and the north ramp don't communicate.
