ATL Hotel

Any suggestions on a hotel close to the airport while i'm in ATL. Have the Red Roof Inn listed on my interview info papers but have heard its ghetto.
I have a list with a few others on it, but just wanted to get some opinions as I'm sure some of you guys are in and out of there alot.

i stayed at the red roof on my interview and it was fine for one night.........whether i want to stay there for months of training is another story. theres also the drury inn which is right next door and they are pretty good. they are both w/in walking distance of the hq. around 40 bucks a night should do it.

Thanks- I decided to stay at the Red Roof. I saw a pic and read the reviews online and it didnt look bad at all. Very good examle of how something gets a bad name because of someone passing a rumor around. You gotta check everything out these days for yourself as you cant believe anyone anymore.
Thanks for the Reply, greatly appreciated!!!

if you are quiet at night you can hear the rats in the walls... NO JOKE...
The amerisuites (changed to Hyatt place i think) and the renaissance are really nice and good rates... plus at the renaissance you get the view of the runways
either way the red roof is across the parking lot from Flight Safety and ASA HQ
Good luck on the interview thou

I'm in the Drury right now during training. It is 64.99 DAL rate. Hot breakfast every day (full B-fast eggs, waffle maker, french toast, biscuits/gravy--not toast/bagel/cereal) and clean and quiet. Well except when they had the 136 high school and younger cheerleaders for some competition, but overall quiet, clean, and comfortable.
Good luck...Philly
