great company to work for life at. Especially their great pay for 5th year and beyond FO's who fly 70 seats or more. Very similar to the DC-9 and MD-80 FO pay...

the only 5th yr FOs we have are still FOs by choice.

what he said.........3 or 4th year FO's are FO's because they choose to be...... doesnt mean the FO payscale doesnt need a boost.... but the fact is those FO's are making a choice.

Good on you, more spots for better pay for me!

Yes I know pay is low for the size of AC , but can anyone answer the original ? And no I don't plan on being a 5th yr fo, and yes I fully encourage everyone to move on to biggger and better if that fits into there life plan. I started late in this industry therefore I'm looking for a good regional for a home.

New hire FOs going to PIT, DCA, and PHL...Don't count on DEN for several months if not over year. CA's is about the same

Thanks.

I assume you're talking Republic Airlines.

My class just got our base assignments. We finished ground and start sim training next week.

Bases awarded to new hire FO's were -

PHL (10)
PIT (6)
CMH (4)
DCA (2)

Of our class, the junior guys ended up in PIT or PHL. Anyone that wanted DEN or IND ended up in CMH or PIT. I'm not sure where you live or what base you're interested in, but this is the most recent placement of new hires.

As far as a career here, well its a fairly young company (Republic Airlines), that is experiencing a lot of growth. The bottom line is though, that our flying is outsourced. Cut off the supply, we lose. Thats the only thing that scares me. I don't need to fly a big Jet to be happy, but I like the stability (if you can use that word in this field) at the Majors.

So far, I'm impressed with Republic and I'm definitely excited to work here. We've got guys that have been working with RAH for 10+ years and they truely love working for the company. I think that says a lot about the management team. Our Pres./CEO seems to be a great person who might actually care about his employees. Maybe thats just the kool-aid talking though, but I'll see in a few months on the line. ;)
