Default Questions/Opinions from AWAC pilots needed!

So, KLW has left the building.

Jumped or Pushed?

Thoughts?

The e-mail on Friday was a bit cold and curt I thought. I think something is going on up there and it could have something to do with this arbitration. Quid pro quo anyone?

The situation of him "leaving" is only as good as whoever replaces him.

All I know is I jumped for joy when I read it. It would not surprise me if he was pushed given the hatred between him and the pilot group.

For what its worth I think Rankin has a mgmt style of teamwork and wants to do something with this place. I think KLW has an OLD SCHOOL my way or the highway mgmt. style. Either way, it is good to have him outta here! I've heard from some of the union guys that the two of them butt heads, but who knows what will happen.

I have a feeling it is good news. It can hardly be worse than it is. He was nothing but aggravation for pilots and F/As and I suspect that he was pushed out of the company.

There is no way it can continue like it is now forever and under his 'leadership' it was going to remain even or go further down.

The company needs to do something to survive in a tough market and under his 'leadership' exactly nothing happened except lost opportunities and hot air.

I hope for the best.

Wow, I should read my emails more often, but I hope nothing but good can come from this.

Captchris, you actually think Rankin is worth something!?!? What has he done since he's been here? If we could not secure the Midwest flying with him as our CEO, we can't secure anything. I flew with a union guy a few weeks back and he said all rankin talked about during a "Pilots Union" meeting, was how they want to grow our ground handling. He never mention anything about growing are flying... Never!! He is not worth ..... at our company!

The rumor I heard was he got "pushed" but the reason why was so saucy that it was somewhat unbelievable.

Only saw him once during ground school in November, he told us of the rumor that LGA and RDU bases would be opening soon. Otherwise everything else he said about the future of AWAC was rainbows and kittens.

The reason why they want to grow their ground handling is because other airlines charge them ridiculous prices for service. For example piedmont charges awis $30 for a bag of ice that cost less than a dollar.

Air Wisconsin does a lot of ground handling for United Express. It is profitable.

I can't blame them for wanting to grow it.
