Not just TSA, but also USCIS, ICE, DHS, ...etc...

yeah you think that TSA is bad.. I got cleared from two regional applications in less than 30 days.. my citizenship application has been sitting there for a year and a half.. go figure..

Here is my situation with this. I am scheduled to go to ground school on April 7. I just found out last night from a friend that I need to reapply for the clearance. I called my airline today and they said someone should be contacting me regarding the tsa application. But from this thread I gather that you only need it for the sim not the ground portion so I should be good, right? Also, I was scheduled for my citizenship interview on April 16 so Ill need to reschedule.

if you have your citizenship interview, i'd postpone your class date. Or see if you can get a day off. Few seniority numbers is not worth for months of wait for your citizenship interview. Besides, if they approve you on the spot, you can take the approval form to the airline and avoid the TSA check forever.

Here's another reason you should chose US Citizenship interview date over the class date...
