Wow. Words fail me. Any human being would say to take that day off and the next with no retribution after an event like that.

Ya im a bit bitter :(

I just think all this crap at Pinnacle will go on for years... Its great that 99% of us voted a strike, but it will never happen. We will never get released. Pinnacle mngmt does whatever they want and they get away with it. Working for this company is like ****ing in the wind.
PT is one step away from Mesa's JO... Union calls are always the same "the company did this and we are making no progess in fixing it"
Dont get me wrong I think our union does the best they can, but they are just ****ing in the wind.

While I relate to your frustration, you are incorrect in your suggestion that the union is ineffective. Much of the union work is accomplished behind the scenes. Wrongful termination is a very good example of how effective the union is. The company routinely terminates pilots to make an example of them and scare the pilot group. The union gets most of these pilots reinstated with pay. Because the details can not be disclosed for confidentiality reasons, nobody hears about it.

ALPA won the Colgan scope arbitration. This did not happen overnight but it happened - which is what matters. The company decided to ignore the arbitrators ruling. The union is taking action to correct the situation and will ultimately prevail. This too will not happen overnight but it will happen.

The pace of negotiations is slow. This is a political issue severely restricted by the RLA and is unfortunately not unique to Pinnacle. Once again, the union is working in many ways to achieve it's goals. Remember, the goal is not to reach a contract quickly but to reach a good contract. Unfortunately, this takes time. Look at how long it took ASA (and I would hope for a better contract than they reached).

As for the conference calls, remember that these calls are monitored by management. It would be foolish for the union to disclose strategies and other sensitive information during these calls.

I know all of our patience is running thin and I understand your frustration. If you want to do something about it, then you should get involved with the union. The majority of the pilots are very quick to complain and criticize - and I am not aiming this at you, it's a general observation - yet when it comes time to man up and show up at a picketing event or become a union volunteer, the room suddenly goes quiet...

Im ashamed of working here

Your title on this post sounded like the airline I work at and how I feel. Then when I opened it up I started laughing cause it is the airline I work at. I commute so QOL does suck. The thing I hate here is management. I would love to invite them to a boxing match.

What I absolutely hate is getting called out at 2200 or so after you've been awake all day and getting sent on a 14+ hour duty day. The you fly home, and sleep all day, get up for a while, force yourself to go back to sleep that night, then be up all day the next day and get called out late again that night. Just the fact that I don't have to answer the phone after my 12 hours is up would be a huge relief.

That is called a DTW highspeed.....

2600TT, 1500+ multi, 900 turbine, 350 PIC turbojet/turbofan. Why am I not qualified? Apparently they changed the mins after I quit my old job. That's my fault, but I made the best decision based off of the current information available. Now I wish I had listened to what I thought was rumor, but instead was actually factual information. That's why I have made this post.

Is it a bad thing that XJT pays their FOs nearly $10k more second year than Pinnacle? There's no sense in wishing against that.

Stop settling for less.

"It's a regional, what do you expect?" It's more like

"It's an airline, I am expect to be treated better than dirt."

Please don't rationalize the erosion of work rules and pay rates.

THANK YOU!!!!

Any one have news on the Delta flying for 9E. Is it doing well, is it looking good for growth. And I am aware that the pay rates are on the level of blasphemy.
