skywest travel benefits

Do you guys get Delta buddy passes. If yes, can they travel internationally unaccompanied?

Yes, and no, I don't believe so??

DL buddypasses to not require accompaniment. They are the same pass for DL mainline and all DCI carriers, and they are valid for international travel.

Yeah I figured that...thinking of CAL...they're all the same after awhile anyway!

Are the benefits based on your base? What benefits would you have if you get FAT? ORD?

Seattlecfi 04-17-2008 09:52 AM

All pilots get DL and UA benefits. Only MKE, ORD, and DEN pilots get the YX benefits.

Are the DL and UA benefits completely free (per flight)? Any yield fare you have to pay per flight? A while ago, DL said they were going to start charging other DCI carriers a small yield fare, but so far it sounds like that hasn't happened (lucky for them)...

Not quite. XJT/DelCon is still waiting for the buddy pass provision to kick in.

UA charges a mileage fee. ORD to LAX is probably $15-20. First class is far more expensive. You can avoid this by jumpseating instead of non-reving.

DAL was supposed to start charging a mileage fee, but they dropped that idea for the time being. You pay a $50 annual fee (covers you, spouse, kids, parents). Parents and buddy passes on DAL pay a mileage fee and taxes...about half of a normal coach fare.

Thanks! That's what I was looking for
