When you say "long upgrade" how long are you talking? 3-5 years?

I was in the March class and just passed my checkride last week. Any ideas of how long I can expect to wait for IOE (STL)?

I would say two day to two or three weeks.
It just depends on check airman schedule. I was hearing at one point IOE was not being done too much under 40 hours, so that alone kinda backs the Check airman up a little bit,

But on the other hand with not many people following you out of training it might go pretty quick.

Long upgrade = Lenght of the training program. Sorry I forgot this was a public forums, internal lingo.

Short versus Long upgrade just has to do with the training program. Currently, we get about one week of ground school and 5 sim sessions for upgrade, and two Captains are paired together. Long upgrade training program will be 8 to 10 sim sessions, new hire will be paired with an upgrade and about 2 weeks of ground school.

I'm going on two and half weeks and still waiting...

This time you wait for IOE is some of the best money you have made in your life.

Enjoy

Instead of waiting for the call from the training department I went ahead and called crew scheduling and they gave me all the info. I'm actually scheduled to start IOE in 2 days now, wonder when training was going to call me.

Yeah you were actually supposed to call them! :p Dont worry though I didnt call for a week until I re-read the IOE folder and felt like an idiot! I guess I should get the word out to call then!
