I just dropped a resume off for a friend today, and I was told that they did not think there was anymore hiring going on

I was told that very few are leaving now because of no one else is hiring much. For the most part that is true.

well...if we do get more 145s from mesa i am sure we would have to hire.

Nobody is going to have much attrition this summer...very very few are hiring. Get comfortable where you're sitting, b/c you're gonna be there for a while.

Well man you gotta take the bitter with the sweet! We all know the industry is cyclical...it WILL get better again then we will all go through what we're going through now again. Just be glad you have a foot in the door right now and havent had a class dropped on ya! I wont go into what I think is going to happen this summer but I know that I am confident that I am secure in this job.

Yea I hear ya.... When its good its great, but when its rough is SUCKS... I am glad to get my foot in the door before they shut it, bolt it, and put a door stop on it.. haha

I still think we have the possibilty of some growth. I do not think it is going to be explosive by any means, it will be what has always been cautious. I think for the short run TSA is on sure footing unless someone makes a real bone head move or a codeshare would drop us or something like that. Those are things that I cannot predict.

I think I have saw somewhere where some one said hang on to your seat and sit tight for the summer.

that is what i am going to do, and from what Check Airman I have talked to there is quite a few CA and FO's still waiting on IOE, so that leads me to believe staffing will be where it has to be, or just slightly better.

For the new guys, watch the open time, I always throw stuff in there that I dont want to do.

just got email from kathy, looks like i am going into the pool. She said they are not having the turn over rate they expected. It might be couple months till class date

Well hang in there. I have never known them to have a pool.

I would stay on the safe side and stay in contact with her so she remembers who you are.
