Do they no longer pay for hotel for new-hires?? Boy that was short-lived...Be smarter than I was, newbies! A company that doesn't, at the very least put you up, is not even worth a second-thought...

love how St. Ann and Breckenridge are considered the ghetto around here by every pilot i meet. Sure, there are certain streets i wouldn't walk down at night, but in a TRUE ghetto, you wouldn't want to walk down them at high noon.

I grew up east of Flight Safety on Natural Bridge. I loved hearing people ***** about the 3am sim session because of the neighborhood.

It seemed like the perfect idea though to me, they give you 800 dollars for housing plus min guarantee, no worries about spending the night with a total stranger. What they don't tell you is that they pay you two random 200 dollar checks the first month and the rest of the money they give after you pass!!!! Talk about a rip off.

Just more reason to pass! :p

If I didnt put it up here before I'm available if any of you new guys have questions. I usually bring my CPU along when I know I'm going to be sitting somewhere for a while.

Study hard! Its only two months of pain before you're done and living the dream!

I have to say just from what ive seen on here it definitely seems like the pilot group is a pretty giving group... with people offering help left and right there is no excuse for 50% pass rates... Guess those people in Feb that failed just werent motivated enough or afraid to ask for help....

I'm not sure what happened to those guys, but most of the ones that were lost in my new hire class were of the mind that they went to "xyz school" and didn't really NEED to study. (Or spent most of their time drinking instead of studying). If you bust your ass, there's no problem passing. But you really DO have to bust your ass...
