Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe those aircraft are leased.

I was in BDL a couple weeks ago and saw an Independence Air CRJ still in full "Fly I" titles and everything. I didn't know any still existed.

There's an airplane out there flying for a Nascar team that still has the independence paint scheme, minus the name and logo on the tail.

There might still be one or two out there that are being repainted/refurbished for other carriers.

Yeah, I saw that one out there too. Was just sitting out by the FBO. Can't remember if it still had the Fly I stuff but it was still in the paint scheme.

Mesa owns a bunch of their CRJ-200's. There is a market for 50 seat RJ's in Asia and a buch have been retrofitted to business jets. Micheal Waltrip has one. Comair does all the mods and heavy mx on it. There's also a market for the high time aircraft. Broker company's buy them and pretty much dismantle them to sell the parts to airlines as spare parts.

So what is a high time RJ? Is there a cycle limit?

I think some of them acutally started with COMAIR, then went to FlyI, then to Tucson, then to CHQ! They will probably end up in Asia soon.
