Comair is hiring 300 to 400 this year, and just starting to ramp up. So if you can get on at the begining of this phase you're seniority will move up quickly.
However that being said, both have relatively long upgrades, and are two different cultures. Interview at both, if AE needs an immediate answer, interview at Comair first. Look at bases, reserve rules and expected lenght which would be an estimate then choose best fit for you. If you have more questions feel free to pm and I will get back to you between flights.
Good Luck

I would go for the QOL. If you can live in a base then life will be 10x better than commuting. AE and Comair are both about the same level as far as pay/workrules/etc. and are decent regionals.

Yes, there are two completely different cultures there, I prefer Comairs' culture to A.E. Also Comair is getting more and bigger airframes, while A.E. is not growing and may be getting sold. I was told Comairs' flying is about to go 50% increase out of JFK. Hope this helps in your decision process.

Misinformation strikes again!!

The memo stated 50% of Comair's flying was going to be out of Northeast/JFK. Although some increases are going to occur, it will not be as much as you described.

37 will be parked from Mesa on May 2nd. due to Delta canceling their contract with Mesa. Comair is parking fewer CRJ200 than planned due to the increase in flying and replacing some with CRJ900. You need to interview with both companies and find out for your self which company’s culture and QOL matches your needs. I hope both will offer you a job so you will have a choice. Good luck and have fun.
