ok, i will help you all understand what is going on.

The pilots at pinnacle airlines, and others who support our cause, will be picketing infront of the company headquarters on May 1st. May 1st is the three year anniversary since our contract became amendable. We are letting management know that 3 years has been to long and we want a fair contract now.

FOR THOSE OF YOU COMING TO INTERVIEW ON MAY 1ST. Coming to the interview is in no way crossing a picket line, or being a scab, or anything like that. If you have decided that you are willing to take your chances on pinnacle then do what you need to do. We are not on strike yet. You are doing nothing wrong by coming and interviewing, or even getting hired. If that were true then everyone who has been hired here in the last three years would be in trouble. You just happen to be interviewing on the day we will be picketing.

So everyone relax. I will be their on may 1st to picket. if you have an interview on may 1st then go to the interview.

here is the good and the bad.

the hotel is close to the airport, good and bad.

the hotel is close to the company headquarters which is near the airport, good and bad.

cars being broken into in the parking lot. bad

being stuck at the hotel for 2 months during training with no transportation. bad

taking your car to training and not leaving anything in it to tempt the hoodlings so you have a way to get to beale street. good

if you drive a porsche or any other car like that i would not recommend bringing it to training. if you just drive an average joe car i would recommend bringing it to training, just dont leave anything in it to tempt the guys who are breaking in. i can tell you from seeing other people suffer that not having a car in training is pretty tough. you have to find rides from other guys to grocery store runs, wait on the hotel for rides to training, flight safety, airport, etc etc.

you have to decide if its best for you, but i would try my best to have a car there.

If an interview-ee goes inside to interview, would that not be considered kind of like crossing the picket line??

Oh man not good.

We only interview on Wednesdays. May 1st is a Thursday. No worries!

There WAS a rash of car breakins and thefts at the hotel, but the hotel has since beefed up overnight security, and as far as I know there have been no incidents recently. Just the same, don't leave anything inside that looks tempting (ipods, stereos, etc.)
