Colgan Job Ads/Emails
 What's really going on over there? Karen C tells me "FO's last class for the Q is April 28th." Then I get an email a couple of days ago saying "Hiring Captain's and FO's the Q.". I just saw another ad on climbto350 today saying "Q400 F/O-s-NEWARK".
Any guys at Colgan with good info would be helpful. Thanks |

My June 11th Class was canceled yesterday. No attrition. I got that email also its strange.

Friend was supposed to start new hire Saab ground next week, found out today class has been put on hold
|
still cant beleive their published mins are 1000TT and 50ME
|
They have put an ad in Climbto350 almost every day for the past few months.
There was one today for 1900 street ca, and q4 fo's. |
There were a few people with job offers to the majors who have been put on hold due to the fuel/65 ordeal. Basically movement has slowed down and being that Colgan is very reactive rather than pro-active you are getting the mixed signals as management is running with their heads cut off. I'm def seeing some slowing here in IAH for the time being.
The Q has the potential for growth with the current economic situation, but since I don't fly it, I can't say what's going on there. I do know that Lynx canceled its 10 options, is Colgan next on the list or Horizon, I don't know, but if we are we may be expanding that market at a faster rate than anticipated. Lastly, all FOs are getting SIC types, only think we can think of is international flying, mexican border?? Someone says that there are a few flights into mexico by express that we could potentially do. All of the above is nothing but my own best guess and or speculations take it for only that. |

P.S. Not trying to turn this into a XJT vs 9L because I don't want to see any flying taken away from anyone, hard enough times we are all in, but perhaps something up CALs sleeve. |
Hmmmmmmmmmmm <---- i can do it longer.

There are really no reasonable flights possible in the Saab to Mexico. I would not count on it.

When In Mexico, beware of transvestite prostitutes. |

Huh...
Note to self When in Brazil Do the Same I don't think Colgan will go to Mexico in the Saab. I think the sics are just in case we make a wide right down wind in Del Rio, lol. |
you guys know if 9L flies to Laredo? or was that just a hypothetical for conversations sake
|

The word is CAL wants the Saab to start serving the small Mexican cities just over the border Monclova, Monterrey...etc. I for one do not want to fly in Mexico from what I have heard from the XJet guys.
