XJT? Or something else?

Skywest to buy the CHQ certificate from RAH. How is that for speculation?

Again, what could XJT ALPA do about XJT losing flying to non-union carriers?

how did the majors protect their flying? answer that and you'll start to see options.

ALPA may not make business decisions but they have a responsibility for job protection and that is something they are failing at miserably. Come to think of it I would consider scope language as kind of a decision making for management. otherwise I bet management would be looking for someone to fly boeings and airbus' cheaper.

What exactly are you talking about? What leverage was signed away? XJT's scope language has nothing to do with who Continental decides does their flying. XJT's scope language can only speak to the flying done with XJT aircraft regardless if they are flown for CAL, DAL, UAL, etc.

Skywest is more likely to put in a bid for Comair than CHQ. CHQ would not be a good buy for Skywest from a purely business standpoint.

I wouldn't worry about it because it's gone. just ask yourself what delta management learned from the comair strike and what they did after it was over to prevent it from happening again.

gotta laugh at all the comments about SKYW merging lists. They will never voluntarily do this - it takes a single carrier petition to the NMB and subsequent vote. any fool knows the company never gives up the whipsaw card for free.

That's about as unlikely as Warren Buffett investing in UAL stocks today.

Not before they (Delta) took a $55 million loss. Do you really think CAL or any other airline is in a position to gamble? And that was with roughly 100+ frames, we have 205 with CAL. Never ceases to amaze me how folks here fail to see the big picture.
