ASA Performance Plus Bonus Payout

What a joke! I've been busting my hump, along with the rest of the crews, trying to do my part to improve the company's performance numbers. The amount of my bonus was beyond insulting.

This is not good. Over the last few months, pilots and management have worked together fairly well. There was a fragile sense of trust being bult by the pilot ranks with regards to management.

Will everyone continue to work to maintain the performance numbers after opening their bonus check?????? The next few weeks are going to be very interesting.

wasnt this check for the last few months? If im not mistaken....last month and this month have been kick ass....so the next payout should be the best one right?

I didn't even get one at all. Haven't been here for 6 months. Did you get the email about how they are improving it? I wonder how much the new formulas will increase the payout.

Dude, we're one of the few airlines to post a first quarter profit. How bout we bust our humps because we want to stop having the worst on time performance. Better yet, let's bust our humps because we don't want to be the next freedom.
Everyone is hurting right now, let's just suck it up for a few months, and understand that BH is doing everything he can.
This **** on management attitude is going to land us all without a job one of these days.

...bring on the slaughter!

There's an update on the company website. Basically:

Employees with two or more years of service could receive a potential maximum quarterly
payout equal to 80 percent of the employee’s base quarterly salary multiplied by ASA’s net profit
margin, plus $300 for exceptional operational performance in all measured categories.

Employees with at least one year of service, but less than two years of service, could receive a
potential maximum quarterly payout equal to 80 percent of the employee’s base quarterly salary
multiplied by one-half ASA’s net profit margin, plus $150 (or half the total potential operational
payout) for exceptional operational performance in all measured categories.

Rewards will be distributed as separate checks to all eligible employees in the month following
the end of each quarter. The financial quarters are Jan.- Mar.; Apr. - June; July – Sept.; and Oct.
– Dec. That means potential rewards would be distributed in April, July, October and January.

So how much did you end up getting? PSA gives us $50 a month for ours.

You make an excellent point, and I agree that we need to post good numbers to keep from tanking like Freedom. I rec'd $100 before taxes and netted $60, and was shocked. I guess my expectations were much higher. I was guesing it would have been maybe $250 - $300.

I don't know how long you've been at ASA, but we've all done about as much as we can do to improve our numbers. The problem lies with the ATL ramp. We've sort of hit the preverbial glass ceiling.

There is only so much you can improve on your end...the glass ceiling is where you cannot do anything more, but you're still getting brought down by factors out of your control (ATL ramp and congestion). Unless the ramp gets their act together, for example, you'll never see better numbers.
