ladies and gents, we're all pawns in this game....One management group will play against the other, in an attempt to win more work for their company. When things start looking bad, a good management group will do low tactics (that they're not known for) in order to secure a successful outcome for their company in a desperate time.
I hope the best for all of us out of this (and any other) deal that comes up over the next year. But without comrades in this business, the company that's on the up and up today, may be on the down tomorrow. Lets work to find a solution, not bicker about the differences and create a larger problem. |
Something I don't quite understand...Say the deal goes through, XJet furloughs 600+ Pilots, and SkyWest spends millions to train new Pilots

with no KY you call that whining, how interesting. I for one hate to see any pilot group get a raw deal with the exception of mesa and thats the only exception. You have no clue what you're talking about, do you? You're personal stance is seriously flawed. |

SKW understands the above cost and they’re among the best at jockeying for position but in the end, just like with ASA, not one dime will be conceded and not one XJT pilot will involuntarily hit the street. But hey this is just my opinion molded by a few historical facts and in the end only time will tell. Best of luck guys. |
JetJock...I was beginning to wonder when you would swing by again!

It's good to be back. Upgrade was somewhat fun and I'm currently on my first IOE trip out of SLC. My last IOE trip is a 4 day out of FAT that begins on Monday May 19th with Reinherz and I'm looking forward to just getting back out on line. A person can only handle so much training before they start to go mad.
Good to see you as a voice of reason. |

congrats on the upgrade! Now your kid will expect some extra goodies...
Good to see you as a voice of reason. I want all you XJTr’s to realize that 99.99% of all SKW pilots want the best for you guys. The .01% is Slaphappy and his 1 friend. We don’t want to see any of you lose your jobs. In this industry there are so few good companies to work for and when one goes down it’s like losing a brother or a sister. |

Also anyone who took a job at XJT after CAL announced the first reduction should not be complaining. Did you REALLY think things were looking peachy in the long-term? Every heard of Air Indy? Hellooo, McFly!
I was ACA/I-Air from 2000 till 2005. We hired up until Jan-Feb 2003. Those guys were furloughed around April 2003. There was another furlough later that year. In Feb of 05 is when they announced the furlough of roughly 800 pilots. ACA flew the last UAX flight in the summer of 04, I-Air started right after that. THERE WERE NO NEW HIRES under the I-Air name. In fact, there were no new hires for almost 18 months before transitioning to I-Air. So by saying going to work for XJT after the first reduction was like going to work for I-Air is just not a valid comparison, sorry. When those guys in the first furlough got hired, it was Atlantic Coast Airlines DBA United Express and Delta Connection. It would be no different than going to work for AWAC or SkyWest at that time. If you want to dispute these facts, feel free to PM me and I can send you each sequential seniority list, along with the pay stubs and the company name on the stub and dates on each to back it up. |
