The QC2/uflymike combo will set you back $525, (225 for the uflymike and 300 for the QC2) brand new. Very small case, so portability is excellent. I normally fly 4-5 hour legs and I've never worn a headset as comfortable. There is NO clamping pressure and the noise reduction is excellent.

The Clarity Aloft is fantastic....

I use the Telex 5x5 pro III with a custom ear mold. It works great, pretty reasonably priced too. The only complaint I have, which I talked to telex about with no solution is the audible warnings are kind of loud when you have a custom ear mold. Other than that I have been pretty happy with it. My dad also has had one for the last 10+ years with no complaints. Any questions feel free to PM

OscarOscar,
I'm a bit lazy, how much does the Bose conversion/boom mic cost. Guys that have it, like it. Thx, FF ps. I may be off base because I never flew the CRJ, but I have used the Telex 750s and they work fine in all the jets I've flown...fwiw. |

Are there 2 different styles 850 or are they all the same. I like the looks of the 750 better but the 850 might be a better choice. I was looking on ebay and they had a 850 for sale but im pretty sure that it was a picture of a 750.

Use the Telex 850. Light weight doesn't take up much room in the flight bag. I use this headset in the 74, but I used it in the CRJ before. Just the right amount of noise cancellation.

I knew someone who took care of the loud warning by ripping a basic foam ear plug apart and stuffing just enough of it in the tube to lower the volume.
