Headset Question
Hey guys I am moving from the beech to the CRJ in the next couple of months and im looking for a new headset. I really want the telex 750 or 850, i know the 850 is better but the 750 is a little cheaper and smaller. Anybody got any advise I would really appreciate.

If you're going to be a commuter, the Bose QC II with the "U Fly Mike" conversion is awesome.

So you buy a pair of regular every day headphones plug this product in and it effectively turns them into a headset?
Or am I just retarded?

Is this a statement? Because you forgot the question mark.
On the original question....yes

I too came to the CRJ from King Airs and B1900s so initially I used the Bose X I had but soon realized it was overkill. It takes up a bunch of room in your flight kit and really provides way more noise canceling than you need. The CRJs aren't really any louder than the older 737s. Infact. I opted for the Telex 850 and could not be happier. It is very small but provides a good amount of noise canceling with great sound quality. If you get the 750 you will most likely end up wearing ear plugs underneath it. Not really a big deal, just kind of a pain in butt.
The bose QC is nice, but again its large and way more noise canceling than you need. I can see the appeal for commuters, but I'm happy using my Ipod headphones during my commute. Also, they are much easier to conceal from FAs when you just want to finish that song after they make the "no electronics" announcement.

I'm thinking about getting the 850 because my head kills after about 4 legs with my DC's.
Check out this link $415 plus free shipping AND a $30 rebate on the 850. Only problem is that i don't have the $$$ right now.

Are there 2 different styles 850 or are they all the same. I like the looks of the 750 better but the 850 might be a better choice. I was looking on ebay and they had a 850 for sale but im pretty sure that it was a picture of a 750.
