jedinein: i dont think your familiar with this particular scenario.
skw wants to buy us but the deal is contingent upon our pilots removing the scope language from our contract. they could buy us with our contract as is which i dont think anyone would mind except for skw pilots but they do not want to do that. Our MEC has stated that they will not make a decision without our pilot groups vote on the matter. No vote = our current contract stands and skw wont buy us. |

Front line employees don't get too much of a say in a large corporation's business dealings. The RLA prevents airline workers from most of the things they could do to express their opinion. So, like everything else, have your backup plan in place and a polished resume.

Reading comprehension, gotta love it. :cool: As far as listening comprehension goes, there doesn't seem to be a current offer on the table by Skywest. Even if there was, it would be far above my pay grade. As I already have my backup plan in full swing, I have no worries. Others, with the general state of the economy and seeing the typical cycle of airlines, might want to make sure their backup is ready to go. |
SkyWest can go fly a kite with their last offer. I'm actually offended by it to be quite honest.
