I don't mean to be rude, but the four year degree generally has nothing to do with how well you go from a 172 to a jet (this coming from a Riddle dude). If you did a jet course that may help. I had 1000+ ME turbine and an MD-80 sim course when I applied and went to the jet but we had a few CFIs in my class that didn't have any turbine time. That was last spring when they couldn't fill classes.

Good luck!

what does that even mean? you're glad skywest didn't hire you because they told this guy to come back in 3 months instead of 6? maybe he was only half as bad as you were.

One of the ALPA supporters said we went to 6 years in January. But, I did it in 16 months, 25 days.

Doesn't your own company predict 300 on the street ?

So, you're just p'd off that SKW, Inc's number is bigger ?

I'm guessing that whether it's 300 or 700, that'll be folks still on first year pay, correct ? Not saying getting axed is fun, just getting perspective.

CFDoubleeye 05-29-2008 10:58 PM

700 is nearly 1/3 of the pilot group... that cuts as deep as third year FO's
