Comair Memory Items and Limitations Test coming up

Hey all Comair pilots I have my big memory test thursday and our class is starting to get nerveous. We all know the procedures but we are worried about getting every word right for the EPs. I would love to hear how your experience was when it came down to this test. Is there a little margin of error allowed. I would really appreciate some input or calming words. Thanks.

I don't work for Comair, but at TSA there is no room for error. You are a professional, and your answers should depict that.

How many memory items do you have at Comair? At ASA, there are about 10, and 5 or 6 of them are the same for any of the smoke conditions.

Get off the damn internet and go study if you're that freaked out.

It depends on the instructor you have. Our instructor wanted us to know everything verbatim. If the procedure specifically said "press", you said "press", not "push" or "select".

It really isn't that difficult. I know from your perspective, it's probably horrifying, but for me, in hindsight, it really was a nonevent. If you study it, you really shouldn't have any problems.

I apologize if it came off as if I wasnt studying. I have been studying alot actually. I just wanted to know if I miss one word like "select" or use "push" instead of "press". To the ASA pilot I counted 29 limitations and 28 EPs.

If you fail this test, you're going to have to resort to CFIing for the next 2 years, that should be some motivation.

Good motivation I dont want to go back to teaching those 141 international students again.

We have a memory items and limitations test? I thought I was one of the first classes not to have to take that written test

Newman 06-09-2008 12:31 PM

Yep we were told that it will be gone in a few more classes.
