Frontier does. Some gate agents are nice and will do it for you at the gate. A few will make you call the phone number and wait 20 minutes on hold to list, even though they are doing nothing. I missed a commute home once because I got in late from a trip, ran over to Frontier hoping to get on, and the agent made me call the number and I was stuck on hold for 25 minutes. In the mean time, two other pilots showed up and took the jumpseats.

Thought all my experiences on F9 have been good, I have heard the same thing. Those that I know that have been burned will list for the flight at the beginning of their trip.

I have been bumped a couple times by ASA guys that can list for the jumpseat weeks in advance. It sucks when you don't see any other pilots and think you're on and they stroll up 15 prior. It seemed like Northwest had something similar when I was in MSP and the agent kept asking me if I had listed for the jumpseat. It was hard to tell because all the other JS'rs were NW and I would have been bumped anyhow.

Correct, NWA can list in advance for their own flights. I believe Delta can do the same.

CAL is like that too, the Gate agents give you hard time. It is completely possible for them to list you at the GATE, but they have given some people a hard time about it............

Agreed. It makes your commuting life a TON easier if you list on them. I've commuted to four different domiciles on them. They always treat me great. But there are some stations that can be real sticklers about not listing.

I have seen this happen before. I'm listed, I walk up sweating after running through the airport 25 minutes prior to go time. Get the pass, take a breath, and wait to board. Another guys comes up a few minutes later, gate agent asks "are you listed?". He says "no", gate agent doesn't help him, he doesn't get on.

Their house, their rules.
