Flame if you wish.

Why are we fighting our coporate battles using pilots as soldiers? The only people who look out for pilots, in most cases, are other pilots. Let's salvage the only relationship we've got. If you get a mainline jumpseater in your jumpseat, go ask the gate agent if anyone else is waiting for the jumpseat. I think the jumpseater will understand. I know I would.

Why are UAX captains not verifying that a UAX jumpseater hasn't been left behind due to the ineptitude of UAL agents?

Fark the computer, you have a parking brake. USE IT to get your guy(s) or gal(s) onboard.

So let me get this straight... You (UAX) are going to kick mainline pilots off of your jumpseat, on a lot of routes that SHOULD be flown by mainline anyway, just because of a computer glitch. Good luck with the war you are about to start.

yeah really screw what the computer says. Walk up to the gate and sort out the issue yourself. It is within your authority.

So we are just supposed to "trust" UAL agents to work around the glitch??? COME ON!!!!

And don't start the whole "stealing flying" argument.....it's YOUR scope clause and YOUR UNION that didn't want regional jets.

Just "steal" the flying back then.

Nope, real deal. The letter was distributed through official channels this morning.

Looks like the jumpseat coordinator for Skywest (and is speaking for ALL UAX carriers?).
Can someone reproduce the letter here? (Besides the thread starter).

If you really want that ORD to MKE turn with a reduced rest South Bend overnight, please, be my guest because I would love to go to all those nice sunny places you mainline guys get to go to all the time. But yes, blame me, the little regional airline guy for your managements ineptitude. It makes sense.
