Default out and backs

Does anyone know which regionals someone is likely to be home everynight, or close to it? I know Colgan is pretty good about it, but who else?

Well, that depends on your exact definition of "Home".

Gulfstream International Airlines, a Contiental Express, which is based in FLL just about never overnights. They fly Beech 1900-Ds. and Embraer 120s.

Default Chautauqua

Chautauqua has over 13 bases and they save a ton of money each year by having out and backs. I, when I worked there up to a week ago, was getting 18 days off a month, with 90 hours credit each month just doing out and backs. I highly suggest you get your buns over here. You can get all of the out and backs that you want.

The only other suggestion than that is to go to any airline, live in base, bid reserve, and roll the dice that they won't call. Enjoy!

At SkyWest it's possible. Some bases such as SBA and SBP are nearly 100%local (one day) trips. The other bases usually have a small percentage of local only lines. Seniority would determine if you could actually get it.

Additionally there are continous duty overnights with show times usually around 2100 and release times the next morning around 0800. These involve a flight from the hub to the outstation, 5-6 hours at a hotel and then the flight back in the morning. At SkyWest this would credit you 5 1/2 hours pay for around 2 1/2 hours of flying. Other airlines may handle the pay differently however.

I did the CDO or standups as we call them for nearly 2 years as an FO, and can say I was at home every single day.

Does anyone know if piedmont is an out and back kind of schedule? I guess I just assume most props have out and back schedules. Is this completely incorrect?

I know that at Lakes you get a lot of out and backs...sometimes 4 or 5 of 'em a day. But the last leg of the day was always an out.
