I'm just trying to put together plan B and C if Skywest doen't come together for me. I'm looking for options that are close to home, South Dakota. Compass and Mesaba are options as well. Just a rough time in the industry right now

people live in South Dakota?

Yup. Real, genuine people.

That being said;

Population before the Great Depression= 800,000
Population now= just a shade over 700,000

Still more than twice the population of Iceland. :)

Where are the SAS q400's now btw? Havent heard about them recently.

SAS is keeping them and settled with Bombardier for more Q400's and CRJ's.

I guess the damage to their reputation wasn't all that bad...

You are absolutely right. The BK Court couldn't care less whether the airline operates or not. The duty is to the creditors, i.e., see that they get something of whatever is left after the company has failed.

I'll one-up you:
Population of Sturgis any given day of the year: 6,422
Population of Sturgis during the first week of August: 650,000

Rally's just around the corner buddy, you going to be around?

If F9 goes under, L4 will survive.
How is that possible? The only flying that L4 dose is for F9. No code share or agreement with anyone else!

I just saw a Southwest commercial... SMF to DEN for 79 bucks!!!! I think they're going after both United and Frontier! There's no way United or Frontier could match those fares and pull a profit.

yea they are, not sure how they can make $ with those rates either.

They might not make money with those fares, but they sure as heck are taking market share.
