Lynx Aviation

Does anyone have info on Lynx? Are they still hanging in there, hiring, expanding? Training, good bad and ugly? Pay doesn't look very good for the size of AC.

Probably not gonna be around in a few months; along with their daddy :(

Lynx flies for Frontier. Frontier is bankrupt.

I know Frontier is in Chap 11, time will tell their future. My number one choice is Skywest and my stuff is under review per the email and phone call I have received. I'm just trying to put together plan B and C if Skywest doen't come together for me. I'm looking for options that are close to home, South Dakota. Compass and Mesaba are options as well. Just a rough time in the industry right now

I feel I must correct your posting!

Lynx flies for Frontier. Frontier is bankrupt. Southwest is Killin' them.

I understand that it's ultimately Frontier's Mgmnt that's at fault and I understand SWA is a great company. I'm just stating the obvious, once Southwest gets started, all other Nations/Majors can't compete.

It's truly sad; Frontier has a great product and a great pilot group.

SWA is trying hard toget F9 out of DEN.

Lynx is the only thing keeping F9 going. However, their pilots have taken wage concessions; somewhere in the neighborhood of +/-15% for CA's and 2-5% for FO's.

SWA smells blood in the water......capitalism at its finest.

Lynx is keeping F9 going? haahahaha. I think lynx is a big part of the potential success of Frontier, but they are not "keeping them going". Pay cuts were 14 1/2 percent across the board, except for first year FO's (1%).

Fuel is killing F9 (along with every other airline), not SWA. SWA is just filling the spots created by reduced capacity. Most of this capacity reduction was united's.

Back to the original question... are they hiring? Do they make you sign a training contract? Lynx may still survive if F9 goes under. The Q400 is growing in popularity, and I would expect to see more of them in the future with the current fuel prices.

I think they are firing up a class for sept., not sure. There is a contract, the numbers can be found on prior lynx threads, don't know the numbers off the top of my head. If F9 goes under, L4 will survive.

That's good to hear, but what's their plan?
