I laminated the one that folds, just to make sure I don't spill anything on it. God forbid I should spill coffee on one, lose the other, and have to waste another 60 bucks. Make sure you frame the other one...since you studied soooo hard for it. :)

AWAC requirements

It doesn't say it's necessary on AWAC's or Piedmont's job sites, but does anyone know if either airline wants applicants to have an FCC license or if it would help to have one when you apply? Just curious. Thanks for any input.

I am sure this isn't something that the company will pay for, or reimburse. Maybe a write off though.

What exactly is the purpose of this license?

ANYTHING related to flying is a tax write-off if you are a professional pilot (or trying to get job, or training for ratings)

The FCC permit is required for international flying, including Mexico, so that's why some regionals require it.

rickair,

Thanks for the tax tip. I'll be sure to ping you for tax season.

The day I got the FCC permit, I was suddenly able to talk clearly on the radio and I never missed a call again. THANKS FCC!!!!!

I failed it the first time, but by golly when I passed, I framed that sucker and plastered it on the wall! LMAO...

Damn that website sucks! Why dont they just list the licenses by profession. "Example: Click here if you are a pilot!!" What a waste of time! In addition, $60 is theft for this sheet of paper.
