Didn't they have a jet catch fire there a month or so ago as well?

Well that's one way to reduce the 50 seaters...

Sounds like using 2x4s for chocks as a cost-cutting measure isn't working out too well.

ok, so i got the rest of the story from my friend. details are still sketchy but here is what he knew.

The asa maintenance guys had just finished cleaning the planes and where cleaning the engines out with power washers and cleaning solution, etc etc. well once they had finished cleaning the engines they did a run up to make sure the engines were free of all fluids. Apperantly asa had a plane make an emergency landing because there was still water in the engine and it caused a flame out just after take off so this they started running them up for a few minutes to clear it all out. well he heard that they had the engines up to 80 percent and had the chocks and brakes on. well when they brought the power up the guy doing the run up got the config brakes warning and panicked because he thought that the brakes weren't on. so he quickly reached down and accidentaly took the brakes off and went barreling down the ramp and ran into 2 other planes before he could shut it down and stop the plane. no one is sure if there were any injuries, but it sounds like it was pretty bad.

these are just preliminary details and i am sure there is a lot more (or less) to the story.

I have a sneaky suspicion they were supposed to run up to 80% N2 and this guy went to 80% N1, what do you guys think?
