yeah, but that is just more of the shenanigans that is going on... oh we are going to cancel your delta flying on july 31, no wait august... just a second, no make it september. smoke and mirrors. good thing our pilot group didn't fall for it when uncle phil told us in the last session that there may not be an airline left if we didn't sign their latest offer. none of us want to be on the street, but we dont want to have work rules that our mec refered to as "indetured servitude" put on us either.

When are you guys going to get a new contract? Your old one still sports a mullet and stone-washed jeans. You deserve better.

Stand by for the we need a new contract by september or we will lose this flying announcement. By the way, we are starting ATL MSP and ATL DTW in september which according to our NWA ASA agreement, we are not allowed to do.

Forgive my asking, but if you're contract is, as you alluded, "indentured servitude," what do you propose to do about it in this economic environment? or ever? it's been pretty bad for a while now, hasn't it?

You are quick to bristle when other posters badmouth Pinnacle. If you can bash it, why shouldn't someone else be able to?

according to our mec the only thing really holding us back is prefbid. sounds like everything else is done. its been a long 3 years, but hopefully it will be finished soon.

what i cant figure out is who is putting the squezze on who. is delta doing this to get management moving on our contract or is management doing this to get the pilots scared into signing a contract.

not sure what you are talking about. if you are refering to my indentured servitude comment, that is what the mec said the companies new proposal looked like as far as prefbid goes. that is why they are stuck on pref bid. they dont want our new contract that we are nearly ready to sign to become the down fall of, from what i can tell, some huge improvements.

The contract he was referring to is the one management attempted to scare us into that we, through our mec, subsequently shot down. What we did about it: said "no thanks" and voted to authorize a strike...ie, we did all we could legally do about it.
