Dont hold your breath. Dont know who this Lisa person is. The FA training dept is down to ONE person. Yes, one person for ALL new hires (whenever that might happen) and recurrent. And the pilot training dept is down to I think two trainers. The rest got sent out to fly the line since the furlough. Typical management ... flip out and make a rash decision that creates more problems down the road than it solves.

Stock prices might be up, but for how long? STORY

Yep, coming in Sept. You know, since US Airways wants us to cut 10% to save money, I'd be interested to know how much of a pay cut upper management has taken?

texaspilot76 07-23-2008 04:05 PM

This is so ridiculous. I guarantee that once they furlough all these people that we will all start getting junior manned, reserves will fly more hours, and life will stink. These cuts are not warranted. If Airways would charge a proper fee for a ticket, maybe they would make money! What a concept!. People will pay it. We are running at 85% load factor. The demand is there!

I am beginning to see what some of you were telling me. I think that the rejects of the business world become airline execs in the end.

Lets hope Oil keeps going down, Airways stock will keep going up and none of this will happen.
