lol. Looks like a translation error when that Chinese pilot was talking about how ATC didn't follow "RKO" terminology. Ironic.

Is the requirement to contact ramp before getting to the ramp posted on the charts, atis, whatever, or is it just "tribal" knowledge? I've never flown into or out of JFK.

Man, it's gonna suck when China takes over the world and we all have to learn Mandarin.

You usually call ramp on the ground to check the status of your gate. You fly in there a few times and you KNOW that ground is going to ask you the status of your gate, it's best to be prepared. But no, it's not written anywhere.

There are a lot of JFnKisms that you just pick up and do after flying in and out of there for a while.

Its like that in LGA too. As soon as we hit the deck, capt has ground, I'm checking on the gate gettting cleared in.

Do the Air China pilots get the walk of shame evil eye from other airline pilots and crew 24-7 since they make these repetitive problems?

I'm surprised they can't follow directions from the controller, but I guess I shouldn't be since they have trouble driving cars.

Nah, we are all to busy looking at the Air China FA's...just one more reason to go work over seas.

No. We usually don't see them.

What's wrong with American FA's? 70% of them will give you warmth in the winter and shade in the summer.
