If only there were some sort of website with a collection of information on various airlines. That would be really convenient. Somebody should look into making one of those.

I believe WP's mins are still 1000/200. They've always been on the higher side...especially for the Dash. As far as QOL goes, the positives are that you're home every night, and upgrade times were usually around a couple of years or less. The Aloha shutdown and the state of the industry, combined with the current lack of growth at Island Air may have increased that time a bit. Supposedly, the company is still considering picking up the Q400 again or some -300s, but I'll believe it when I see it. There was a period when they had plenty of great looking FAs, but most are gone now. I suppose that would be a negative. Another downer is that the pay is on the lower side for a regional. The incredibly high cost of living in Honolulu (and Hawaii just in general) really exaggerates that issue.
On another note, typical ops would have you run around 6-8 flights per day that average about 30 minutes block time (shortest flight is 25 minutes, longest is 55 minutes) with only 20-25 minutes on the ground at a time...not sure how you feel about that. You can expect to be on duty from around 0500-1300 or 1300-2100. The flying can be interesting out here, and you can't complain about the scenery.

From what I hear, if you don't have the time to be hired into the left seat it's worse than Mesa or <gasp> CFIing. When you're not selling tickets and smashing bags you get to log all that VFR single-engine turbine SIC time. Woooooo...hoooooo. You get all that for $9/hr or something like that.

Thats the one thing i'm worried about is the VFR Single-Engine SIC time. When I try to get hired on PT121 after that they won't like it very much. I don't have enough time to be in the left seat but I do have enough for some of them like mesa and great lakes.

I'd be pretty worried about it too. I turned down a job in a PC-12 because single-engine turbine time is just that - single-engine time. Plenty of that out there. Multi-time is what most places want to see.
