SkyWest vs Delta law suit
#3
Delta is withholding millions of dollars in payments to Skywest in the form of passenger expenses incurred on irregular operations, I think. Skywest is suing Delta in court to get the payments. Have no idea how the proceedings are going.

I thought i heard a few months back that skywest was suing delta to stop delta from taking back millions they had already paid skywest in what delta thought was in error due to the IROPS.
I am not totally sure though you are probably right I thought that's what I read when it first came out. Also havent heard how things are proceeding either.

If a flight is late due to non-wx irop, it is the carrying airline that pays for passenger amenities. I.E. if a Freedom flight cancels due to lack of crew, freedom pays for the hotels, meals, etc of the passengers. If a Chautauqua flight is late due to mechanical probs and passengers miss their connections, RP pays for the rebooking, etc.
