Default ASA Captain Displacements

Everyone was wondering about the ATR guys getting displaced and the resulting CA overage. That's been addressed now with the latest displacement notice... 8 CR7 Captains and 29 CRJ Captains.

Any word on furloughs at ASA? I'm kind of surprised they haven't announced any yet. I thought they were immenent. It seems most other regionals have already done so. Is Delta not going to cut their flying?

Strong statement, not even I would say that SKW will not furlough, but my personal opinion is that neither will have to. I know, in detail, SKW Inc’s contact with DAL (for both ASA and SKW) and UAL and I’m certain that both will be fine. When it comes down to it, SKW & ASA are the most difficult and costly of DAL’s partners to cut, BUT only time will truly tell and don’t fool yourself………………it can happen.

We are not furloughing right now. 30yrs we never done it before but there is a 1st time for everything. I don't think ASA has ever had 1700 pilots at one time before. Hope the COMA lines will keep it that way. From all the e-mails it sounds like we are doing ok but as everyone says, only time will tell.

I really doubt DL will ever cut SKW and ASA off. We are the heart of their regional operations. Heck, you probubly have seen the amount of flight both of us operate for DL. Both are performance numbers are good too and ASA has been a DCI only operator for about 15yrs. If we keep it up and DL cuts more regionals I think that just means more new lines for us(BOTH). After all you said we are the most costly to cut and your right about that.
Just an opinion not a statement.

At one time Air Whiskey and ACA was the "heart" of United's regional operation.

That is United we are talking Delta, they are 2 different airlines, different times, different management. Not saying that it cannot happen. I just think as of now it is doubtfull. But hell... I can be totally wrong.

I'm glad to hear ASA probably isn't going to furlough. I'll take any good news I can find.
