I hope they stick him with the MX bill.

These guys think their jobs are more important than they really are. Now that they have "badges", the power trips have only just begun I'm afraid.

"We don't argue that the inspector used the probes as leverage to get into the aircraft," Montenegro said. "But terrorists would not be concerned if they broke a probe to gain access to a plane."

Well guess what? If they are concerned about a terrorists getting through the front doors of airports, getting through security, then getting down on the ramp and to an airplane. THEN THE SECURITY AT OUR AIRPORTS ARE NOT GOOD ENOUGH. What a bunch of TSA morons!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (GOD, I just want to spit!)

Montenegro's argument doesn't hold up, because if a terrorist broke a probe to gain access, that aircraft would be subsequently grounded for MX. It wouldn't be going anywhere except straight to the hangar.

at least someone in the article is using their brain..

"If he jumped the perimeter fence, that's an airport police lapse, not an airline breach," Laird said, adding, "It seems to me the TSA is making a brouhaha to cover the ineptitude of the particular inspector who has not been trained properly to deal with aircraft."

So the TSA's new policy is to act like terrorists in order to prevent terrorism? If that's the case then the TSA inspectors are for all intensive purposes terrorists and if they try to touch my airplane while i'm around they will be treated like terrorists al la crash axe in the skull.

Never been too impressed with the TSA, a few years back I witnessed them search a bag with AR-15 parts in it, not knowing they were rifle parts, put them back in the bag, let the person go through security, but confiscated their plastic fork......

Not to mention that if probes were broken by a terrorist, we’d catch it and ground the plane, thus spoiling their plot.

"He also commandeered unsecured passenger jetway bridges to gain entry, officials said."

wow how dramatic!! I bet even Chuck Norris couldn't commandeer a jetbridge!

Good thing they're switching to blue shirts, now we can all collectively give this TSAholer a pat on the back and not leave a mark.
